CITYBUILD-2008

In the International exhibition centre “Crocus Expo” the second International Forum “CITYBUILD—2008” has passed — action for developers, investors, designers, engineers, builders.

The forum united 12 independent expositions on one exhibition platform, such as “Architecture, design and reconstruction”, “Underground city”, “Intechgeostroi”, “High-rise building”, “Dormostexpo”, “City Engineering Networks and Communications”, “Light in the City”, “Automation and Security of Buildings”, “Garage and Parking”, “Electrical Supply and Electrical Savings of Cities”, “Cities of Russia: Achievements in Building Complex”, “Metallostroitelstvo”.

The action is help in the period of rapid development of town-planning not only in Russia but all over the world and is directed on solving of the triune problem: creation of individual shape of cities and villages; overcoming monotony of typical building and solvation of environmental problems in cities. Creation of favorable basis for expansion of mutually advantageous cooperation, developing regional and international contacts in building and planning of cities and involving Russian and foreign companies into this process was the other major problem which was solved by this Forum.

Company “Global Expo” was organizer of the Forum, co-organizers — Tunnel Association of Russia, Open Society “New Ring of Moscow”, Joint-Stock Company “Polimergaz”, МА “Systemservice”, VANKB, NP “AVOK”, Association on Automation of Buildings BIG-RU, State Unitary Enterprise “Mossvet”, VNISI named after S.I.Vavilov, Joint-Stock Company NPSP “SvetoService”, NP “Rosgorsvet”, Fund “AMOST”, Association “ASPOR”, Association “Roselectromontazh”, the All-Russia Metalconstructors’ Association. Official support to the project is rendered by Federal Agency on building and housing and communal services and Department of town-planning of a city of Moscow.

Achievements of national and foreign metalconstruction was presented to professionals, modern technologies, new materials and equipment, progressive and non-polluting means of artificial light were shown.

In terms o Forum conferences, seminars, round tables and technical excursions were made including round tables on the following topics: “Condition of External Illumination in Russia. Innovations and Development Prospects. Cities Experience”, “Intellectual Buildings Construction: Investments, Building, development”, seminar “Fearless Technologies”, conference “Electrical Supply and electrical Security at a City Building” during which one could not only communicate to his colleagues but also to establish new partnerships.

Forum Participants came from 38 regions of Russia and 40 foreign countries. Among participants there were representatives of: “Promstroicontact”, “SvetoService”, “Elektromash”, “Polimergaz”, “Casagrande” (Italy), Lovat Inc. (Canada) and many others.

The choice of the place for an exhibition is not random: modern Moscow is one of the most powerfully and dynamically developing megacities in the world. A city which grows not only skyward but is also planning to take advantage of its underground spaces an effective infrastructure, ecological compatibility of decisions, the creative approach and opportunity of looking one step forward are required at realization of building projects.

This action had quite enough of visualization: at stands there were presented not only breadboard models but also difficult modern technics: multipurpose chisel installations, light designs, the newest firefighting systems. By means of detailed breadboard models the visitors were invited to understand how city excavatory and condition-recovery work are organized, to get acquainted with innovative methods of building, to understand optimization plans of Moscow traffic. In particular in Moscow Central Ring Roar building is planned, it is a key point in development of transport infrastructure of Moscow and Moscow suburbs. The general extent of the central highway will make 520 kilometers. It will be a modern 4—8 strip line with 31 outcome, tunnels and bridges.

Exhibition breadboard models “Underground city” announced opening Metro stations within the next six years. For today the length of Metro lines makes 292.2 kilometers, but this figure does not meet the city requirements. Totally till 2015 43 metro stations are planned to be constructed and opened (with 79 km lenth). And in 2009 passengers will be accepted on stations “Myakinino”, “Volokolamskaya”, “Mitino”, “Dostoyevskaya”, “Maryina Roscha”.

Special atmosphere reigned within on the exposition “Light in the City”. The slogan of one of the participants could become its motto: “Light is our everythning!” At exhibition stands one could get acquainted with all kinds of illumination: landscape, architectural, external, internal. On the central avenue one could admire the concept of formation of uniform colour-and—light city environments. Perhaps only after that one can understand and estimate the city changes due to kilometers of various illumination.

Visitors alien to building sphere could look at a habitual architectural environment in another way.
