Moscow presents “The Pride of Russia”
For 11 years already the International Equestrian Exhibition EQUIROS has been the main equestrian show in Russia. It mirrors the rampant development of horse industry embracing all corners of equestrian world. Nowadays EQUIROS is evidently the main national equestrian show attracting state and private stud farms, riding clubs, hippodromes, scientific research and educational institutes, private owners from Russian and near and far abroad. At the exhibition, there are also widely presented hippotherapy clubs and organizations, manufacturers and distributors of riding equipment, manufacturers of fodders and veterinary preparations, koumiss dairies and tourist companies. Each year about 30 000 visitors attend the Fair. Exhibition main categories are: horses and ponies, breeding studs and farms, equestrian clubs, equestrian tourism, riders apparel, clothes and accessories, carriages, health and veterinary, horse transport, specialized magazines, books and videos, art and gifts. 
EQUIROS-2009 welcomed 152 exhibitors from Germany, Spane, Australia, Russia, France. The exposition displayed horses of the following breeds: Altaian, Andalusian, Akhal-Teke, Bashkir, Belarusian coacher, Belgian pony, Budenny, Vladimirskaya draft, Hanoverian, Holstein, Mountain Welsh pony, Don, Latvian, Mini-Shetland pony, Orlov fine harness, Polo-pony, Russian trakehner, Tersky, Trakehner, Frisian, Halflinger, Arabian, Shayer, Tincker (Irish cob), Shetland pony. The programme of exhibition events included: EQUIROS Cup Competition between Trakenen Horses, Horse Parade “The Pride of Russia”, Festival of the Orlov Trotters “The Legend of Russia”, The Gold of the Prairies — Championship of the Don Horses, The Russian Bogatyrs — Championship of the Draft Horses, The EQUIROS Cup Championship amongst Ponies. Today much attention is paid to children sports, so the 2nd International specialized equestrian exhibition EQUIROS JUNIOR — 2009 was held in the framework of greater EQUIROS. * Based on the site EQUIROS
