Shopping Centres
Shopping centres in Moscow are conveniently located next to metro stations or major roads. Usually they are multi-storey buildings that comprise everything necessary for not only getting your shopping done but also doing so with pleasure. You can spend hours and hours in modern megamalls just window shopping — and that’s not even mentioning the actual shopping or various forms of entertainment they offer.
You don’t even have to leave a shopping centre to eat, as it is home to numerous restaurants, cafes, fast food places, confectionaries, and a supermarket.
For entertainment, you can go to the movie theatre, skating rink, bowling lanes or pool hall.
On the weekends, shopping centres are crowded with families and children. Find out beforehand whether the shopping centre has a children’s playground, where a child will be taken care of while you are shopping, and how much the service costs.
Parking is usually convenient, but not always free. If you are using public transportation, we recommend taking special express buses or shuttles from the metro stations. You can find out the cost of the trip from the driver or on the shopping centre’s website.
