Railway transport

To travel further into Russia, it is wise to choose railway transport, which will enable the traveller to not only expand his or her destination map (as 11 railway lines connect Moscow with virtually all of Russia’s regions), but also gain a more thorough view of the country.

Train ticket prices are considerably lower than airfares, while all nine of the capital’s train stations: Belorusskiy, Kazanskiy, Kievskiy, Kurskiy, Leningradskiy, Paveletskiy, Rizhskiy, Savelovskiy, and Yaroslavskiy — are conveniently located in the central part of the city, mostly within the limits of the Garden Ring.
