The emergency services of Moscow have the following phone numbers “01”, “02”, “03” and “04.”Although it is quite easy to mix them up, mnemonic rules can help in dialing the correct number during an emergency. “01” is the phone number to call for fire emergency service, which has recently become the single phone number of the Moscow Rescue Service.It is easy to remember, as the one is similar to a match, the casual handling of which may cause a fire. Crime stoppers can be contacted at the nearest militia department by dialing “02.”It is difficult to fancy any associations, as the two is similar to, say, a swan, although this may help to remember this phone number. Although the number 3 is reminiscent of almost nothing, the only major rescue service that remains is ambulance service, which may be accessed by dialing the phone number “03”.Any person who feels ill can call there, and help will surely and swiftly be on the way. Hopefully, these numbers will not be needed while visiting Moscow.
