Free Economic Society of Moscow
The Free Economic Society of Moscow was established to maintain and further develop traditions of the Imperial Free Economic Society of Russia that founded by the Empress Katherine II for solving important economic (at that time agricultural) problems of Russia.
For more than two centuries the Societys patriotic spirit and strategy of activities remained unchanged: research in important social problems, amalgamation of academic science and practice, development and implementation of innovations, involvement in cooperation of the best Russian and foreign academics and experts in practical economic issues, support of talented youth, and dissemination of knowledge.
Maintaining traditions of the Free Economic Society the todays Free Economic Society of Moscow actively supports progressive initiatives in Russian economy. The Society considers as its goal creation of conditions for interaction between different social strata and groups. The aim of the cooperation is to materialize the concept of the use of innovative processes as a foundation for the further successful development of the Moscow region and entire Russia.
To ensure support to innovative activities, the Free Economic Society of Moscow considers that it is necessary not only to declare the support to innovations and to find and design the ways for development of individual projects but also to provide a kind of forum for discussions and search for progressive decisions for such different groups of the Russian society as business structures, scientific community, and authorities. Based on the activities of the Free Economic Society of Moscow, these groups may maintain a dialog to mutually understand each other, harmonize their values, and gain experience of joint activities. These communications are a way to create an authoritative expert community affiliated with the Free Economic Society of Moscow.
As a result of such mutual influence and exchange by ideas and opinions between representatives of power, business, and science, each of these groups is provided with an opportunity to obtain objective, balanced, and reliable information on the basis of which more elaborate decisions may be made.
